This was my first serious attempt at using the actual lights feature of Dungeon Designer, rather than just playing with shadows from the sun. The idea was to create spooky scene with a glowing, dark red portal from which demons were entering the world. That part worked. It was also supposed to be up on a hill. That part… Didn’t as much. Depending on how you look at it, it can look like a hill. But it can also look like a bunch of walls. You may also notice that weird artifact that looks like a puddle in the bottom right. I have no idea what that is from.
Clearly I need more practice. One of the annuals (number 2) contains some tutorials and symbols for lighting. I am going to have to pick that up at some point if I want to do serious lighting, which I think will improve my dungeons immensely.
Still, this turned out pretty well.
