The Farm

The Farm
The Farm

The party stumbles upon a jail break in progress. A group of free slaves had attacked afarm, killed the owners, and were in the process of freeing their slaves. The party immediately attacks, kills all the slaves, and ends up in a protracted battle with the freedom fighters. The local mercenary company in charge of enforcing the law shows up after the party’s resources are nearly drained. They clean up, and capture the leader of the free slaves as a prisoner. The party gets into an argument with them, saying they deserve custody.

It’s decided to take the prisoner back to the city. The party makes their case to the leader of the mercenaries, who agrees to hand him over. They then proceed to torture him for information, crushing and severing fingers and toes. He doesn’t break. The party leaves the mercenaries in charge, asking them to prod the prisoner awake any time he falls asleep, intending to return in a week when he is more.. pliable.

Believe it or not, the players are the good guys and their actions made sense in context.

Anyway, I drew a farm. Simple, and lots of space for fighting. The wheat fields were on fire.
