This was one of the first group of maps I made. The idea was that it would be a dragon’s lair. The patch of light coloured ground was to actually indicate light (ie, the hole the dragon flew out of, since he couldn’t get through the rest of cave). The players would come in the front door and possibly have a few minor encounters through some creatures that the dragon couldn’t get too. You never know exactly when the party will end up needing to fight a dragon, so I didn’t have it all fleshed out. They actually did end up fighting a dragon during the campaign, but it was on a beach shore using a map I found on the ProFantasy forums.
I tried a new art style with this map. Not bad for nice, organic caves. I’d definitely want to tweak the look quite a bit if I wanted to use it again though.
