Hello, and welcome to Undercover Yeti!
My name is Paul Bernhardt and this is my own little blog where I will mostly be posting the maps I create for my D&D campaign. I also work for BlackBerry, but my views are my own.
If you see any maps you like, feel free to download them and use them yourself. All the maps I create and post here are released under CC-BY-NC, but if you would like a commercial license please let me know.
I generally render my maps at 1024×768, since that’s what the projector I use supports. They can be rendered at a much higher resolution, however. The biggest I ever managed was 11560×6000, though that barely worked and took ages to complete. If you would like something at a specific resolution, I would be happy to oblige.
If you are feeling particularly adventurous and want to build your OWN maps, I recommend ProFantasy’s Campaign Cartographer, which is what I use. If you are interested, feel free to ask me any questions you have about it, but I highly recommend Joe Sweeney’s YouTube videos. This software is not that hard to use, as long as you know what to expect. It’s basically CAD software, if you have any experience with that.
You may have noticed that is an affiliate link to Campaign Cartographer up there. I’d certainly appreciate it if you used mine, but you should definitely use SOMEBODY’s (I bet Joe has one somewhere). Anything I make off of that link is going to go directly into buying more Campaign Cartographer add-ons, meaning more cool maps by me. And more cool maps for you.
